Couples Pottery Wheel Try-out Session
Experience the feeling of working with clay with your partner this Valentine's Day
Service Description
Note: The price (180 eur) and the booking is for 2 people even if you receive a confirmation for 1 person. In this unique try-out session, you will have the opportunity to learn the overall process of pottery briefly and try pottery wheel with your partner. We have this workshop once a year, only for Valentine's Day! Firstly you will have your drinks (soft drinks/wine) and some snacks meanwhile I (Sebnem) will explain you what is clay and glaze, how we make pieces, and why we use pottery wheel. After that I will demonstrate you how we make a piece on the pottery wheel. Then it's time for you to get your hands dirty. There will be maximum 3 couples working behind 3 different wheels. Each couple will sit behind their pottery wheel and try to make an object by replicating what I showed. You will work on your wheel one by one or at the same time as you wish. It is very hard to make a piece on your first try, so the aim here is not to get a ceramic piece but to experience the part of the process and spend some lovely time with your partner. But I will try to help you to have two little pieces (per couple) and if we can, I will fire and glaze them, so you can have something to remember the day. You will be informed via email or Whatsapp to collect your pieces in 4-5 weeks. The session takes 2 hour 15 minutes, last 15 minutes is to clean your wheels and tools. The price is per couple not per participant. This session has limited number of attendees. The maximum number of participants is 6 people (so only 3 couples), and the minimum number of attendees is 4 (2 couples). The session is in English. We will provide you aprons but you might still get a little dirty, usually clay comes off easily when you wash it. And we suggest you to have short nails, cause it is not possible to experience it fully with long nails and you can hurt yourself. I cannot help you so much if you have long nails.
Cancellation Policy
Minimum number of participants is 2 couples. In case there is not enough participant you will receive a full refund or you can schedule another workshop with enough participants. Please understand that cancelling and rescheduling are extra costs and effort so below policy will be applied in those cases: Full amount will be refunded if you cancel up to 14 days before the start day of the workshop. There will be no refunds for no-shows, cancellations and reschedules up to 14 days before the date of the workshop. DewEra reserves the right to cancel before the start of the course due to insufficient participation, illness or any other form of force majeure. In that case, the customer will receive a cancellation notice by e-mail and will be able to receive a full refund for the session or a change of date. In the event that a cancellation is due to a third party or event beyond our control, the customer can book another date. In that case, no automatic refund of the costs will take place. If the customer cannot book an alternative date, then please directly get in contact so that we can make a refund, only for that session.
